Ginny had been practicing Pilates for over 7 years, while realizing the incredible benefits and its concrete method of focused movement, she decided to pursue her instructor certification studying under Amalia Maria – through the Balanced Body Method – in the Summer of 2017.
Coming from years in a high level corporate background, Ginny needed a change in her life.
Amalia Maria has been a practitioner of the healing and strengthening arts for 10 years. Her interest and knowledge started at home as a child. Family traditions centered around clean, whole foods, as well as physical and spiritual fitness, seeded a deep passion for, and intuitive understanding of, the body and it’s roll in overall longevity, happiness and well being. Amalia’s pilates background started at Pilates Chicago in 2002. Her certification boasts a heavy focus on anatomy and classical repertoire, as well as a variety of progressive and contemporary applications. That approach, as well as continuous education
After a career in Investment Banking, Sarah stayed home to raise three boys, and in 1992, discovered Pilates for her own personal workout routine. Her enthusiasm grew as she found that Pilates was more than a workout; it’s a way of moving effectively and efficiently. Sarah became Certified in Pilates at the Physical Mind Institute in 2008 and in 2013 she also became comprehensively certified by Balanced Body. In 2014 Sarah was licensed and certified in the “Pilates for Buff Bones” Bone Health and movement program. Sarah maintains her professional practice at Infinite Conscious Conditioning.
Laura received her full mat and equipment Comprehensive Pilates Certification from Power Pilates NYC and worked for several years at Core Pilates and Equinox before starting her boutique studio, Laura Ashley Pilates.
Leslie has a background in dance & studio arts & has a deep respect & appreciation for movement , healing arts & creative discipline. She discovered yoga in 1992 & experienced its regenerative power & ability to calm & focus the mind & inspire the spirit. Always curious & seeking new & various movement experience, she took a semester of Pilates through the dance department at the university of Wyoming in 2001.
Davia was introduced to Pilates after suffering from chronic pain due to an accident in 2006. She was looking for a well rounded workout that also was appropriate for her injuries. She was amazed with the results that Pilates provided and has never looked back.
More than 10 years of experience as a Pilates Teacher, Frank specializes in training with athletes and with special population (low back issues, scoliosis, postural problems). Frank takes pride in creating unique, individualized workouts that are challenging, fun, and effective.
